Diabetes Risk Calculator
The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) estimates that up to 212 million people, or half the adults who currently live with diabetes, are undiagnosed.
Most of them have Type 2 Diabetes. The IDF has created an online diabetes risk assessment resource whose purpose is to predict the individual risk of developing diabetes type 2 during the next 10 years. The assessment is based on the Finnish Diabetes Risk Score (FINRISC) questionnaire developed and designed by Assoc. Prof. Jaana Lindstrom and Prof. Jaakko Tuomilehto from the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, Helsinki, Finland. 1

You cannot do anything regarding your age and genetic predisposition.
However, doing something regarding the remaining factors influencing diabetes type 2, such as overweight, abdominal obesity, a sedentary lifestyle, eating habits, and smoking, is up to you. Changes in your lifestyle can prevent diabetes or at least delay its onset until a very advanced age.
